Snowfall 2009!

by Myra on December 5, 2009

If you live in Alabama or anywhere in the Deep South, for that matter, you know that it is very unusual to have any snow. We had a very light “dusting” last night — contrary to my doubting comments. It was so pretty “coming down” when I was up early getting Prince Charming off to work.

I went out and took some photos early and then Ridley and I went out. Needless to say, my Little Man did not like the cold, wet snow! He tasted it a couple of times, but then the fun was over. Ha!

This verse keeps resounding in my mind…

“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Psalm 51:7

My mind can’t even begin to fathom something whiter than snow. It seems like such a contradiction that being washed in blood red will make something purer than white snow. It’s something that I don’t “understand,” but something that I have faith to believe.

Today, I’m thankful for the snow and for the blood of Jesus that gives life fulfillment in the greatest (purest) way imaginable.

I saw on the news that the south was getting snow and I was shocked! I live in the midwest, Wisconsin, and we just finally got our first snow this week in Milwaukee! Very unusual for us!

I enjoyed the connection to scriptire you found with the snow! I love that you are able to do that, it is something I am working on as I become more and more familiar with my Bible!

These pictures are wonderful! Your little man is so cute! And I like the scripture you quoted – hard to imagine whiter than snow! God is so awesome!

Oh you got some snow!! We were thinking that we would get some– would have been great for the Christmas parade– but not a flurry in sight! Glad your little man got a little taste though!

Yea snow! Molly hated snow at first too, now she is used to it. She has no choice! Ridley looked so cute putting it in his mouth! Thank goodness, and thank the Lord for being washed whiter than snow!
