After I decorated the chandelier with candy canes, this window (that I dug out of the trash, frugal, right?) looked quite lonely and forlorn.
After brainstorming, I decided that I would purchase letters from Hobby Lobby to spell “Noel” because I already have “hope” and “joy.” The letters were only 0.99 each! I spray painted them first with black and then with a high gloss clear paint.
Then I hot glued the letters onto the ribbon and this was the result!
But, I got antsy because the letters looked like they needed “something” to give them more definition.
Out came my jar of buttons that I bought a long time ago at an antique shop.
I hot glued buttons on the letters and I’m totally in love with the result! It’s just what I had in my imagination!! I love it when that happens!
This little project cost me all of $4 because I already had the buttons, paint and ribbon. Now that’s design on a dime!

That's awesome!!! You just happen to find the window in the trash? Talk about timing…you did a great job on it too. I wish I could get up and do some projects. I have a list full…going crazy over here. Take care girl!

I love it when people look at "trash" and come up with an awesome idea with it. I have a friend who can do that – he's great! His wife also! So clever! I'm going to try to look at things differently. Maybe I'll come up with something clever also!
BTW – love the candy canes hanging from the chandelier. Wish I had a chandelier too!

This is so cute! You are amazingly creative…I don't think I have a single creative bone in my body. I do well to get the tree up and arrange the nativity scene nicely.
