He Maketh No Mistake Poem

by Myra on August 3, 2009

This poem has been an incredible blessing to my heart through my highschool and college years, my miscarriage in 2007 and in my day-by-day routine.

When I was still in highschool, this poem was included in a missionary prayer letter that my parents received. I was so encouraged by reading it, so I typed it up, laminated it and posted it on my bedroom door. When I went to college, I took this poem with me and kept it near my bed. There were many times that I read it just before I drifted off to sleep. You can read here about how God used this poem to lift my heavy spirit as I dealt with my miscarriage.

No matter what our circumstances of life are, it is always good to know that God makes NO mistakes. I hope you are encouraged today as you read this poem.

He Maketh No Mistake

My Father’s way may twist and turn,
My heart may throb and ache,
But in my soul I’m glad to know,
He maketh no mistake.

My cherished plans may go astray,
My hopes may fade away,
But I’ll trust my Lord to lead
For He doth know the way.

Tho’ night be dark, and it may seem
That day will never break,
I’ll pin my faith, my all in Him,
He maketh no mistake.

There’s so much now I cannot see,
My eyesight’s far too dim;
But come what may, I’ll simply trust
And leave it all to Him.

For by and by the mist will lift
And plain it all He’ll make,
Through all the way, tho’ dark to me
He made not one mistake.

A very inspiring poem! What a true description of how we should not worry or have fear about our future because He always has our best interest at heart. And if we KNOW that's the truth – why is it so hard to not worry? :)

Great post – stop on by my blog and bring your "funny" side to add to my "Make Me Laugh" meme this week! Would love to hear from you
